End of Life Compassionate Care
At Collingwood Veterinary Services we understand that saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult decisions a family can face. Our compassionate team is here to support you every step of the way, offering palliative care to ensure your pet's comfort and dignity during their final days. We are available to have thoughtful discussions to help you understand when it may be time to consider the next step.
For those who prefer a peaceful transition at home, we provide at-home euthanasia services, allowing your pet to pass in the comfort of their familiar surroundings, surrounded by love. We are honoured to be part of your pet’s journey and are committed to providing the gentle care and support you need during this emotional time. Our palliative care professionals also offer telemedicine support. You do not need to be a regular client of Collingwood Veterinary Services to use our in-clinic or at-home end-of-life services. Please feel free to reach out. We are here to help.
After Care

We are proud to partner with a Canadian-owned and operated company dedicated to honoring pets through aquamation, a gentle and environmentally friendly form of water cremation. Aquamation uses a natural process called alkaline hydrolysis, which accelerates how the body naturally breaks down, offering a respectful and sustainable alternative to traditional methods.
We offer both communal and private aquamation, with the option to have your pet’s remains returned to you in a variety of meaningful ways. Additionally, we provide memorial products to help celebrate your pet’s life and legacy. The cost of water cremation is exactly the same as flame-based cremation.
Our caring professionals are available to discuss these options with you, ensuring your decisions are fully informed and honoured with respect. For more information, including answers to common questions, please visit Pet Aquamation or speak with one of our team members.
